I see wheels spoiler. cant see fogs cant see side skirts
anyone can confirm if this is a z24?
i was trying to look for the z24 engraving on the side molding but i cant really tell either? Nor do i see a sunroof...
I owned a cavlier 99 z24 and blew engine twice but i found this one for sale at a cheap price.
its got the z front bumper...why not just call or ask what motor it has...
What makes a Z24 a Z24 is the engine. Ask what kind of motor it has and your question will be solved.
dual tips on the mufflers.. dead give away.
Because I called him and he said tomorrow he'll try to find out. to me thats stupid if you dont know what size motor your car has nor do you know the model. So I couldnt wait so thats why I ask. So dual tips makes it the z24 engine? I remember my Z having dual tips before putting WS2 exhaust.
Anyone can confirm the dual tips making it the z24? And thanks for the info
well thats prolly why the price is so low...to him its just a old cavalier...to us its a diamond in the rough....
All z24's had fog lights and side skirts. They also have clear turn signals on that era. The 1995-1999 says Z24 on the side molding right behind the doors (That car has it). Sunroof was an option and I can't remember if all z24's had dual tip mufflers. My 95 Z24 does not have a dual tip, but my exhaust has not been stock for a long time now. All Z24's have either the 2.3 Quad 4 or the 2.4 Twin Cam. None came with the 2.2 OHV.
The car looks to be in decent shape for the year.
Red bowtie on trunk lid also a good indicator
my 97 ls had a red bow tie. so that does not always work either.
im going to says its a Z, that dual tip muffler assembly is very expensive to replace aftermarket, doubt anyone has done that to it.
I've seen base sedans with 2.2 ohvs with the dual tip muffler, and the red bowtie seems to be common as well. The side moldings don't have the Z24 script in them, but you never know.

well, it is not a good photo to see the "z24" logo, but the molding is slanted and not straight like the base cars. The z24 molding becomes more pointed going down the door.
I have a 98 z 24 and u can slightly make out where it says z24 on the last picture right behind the door ...
If i am seeing what i think i am seeing.. it even has the license plate filler in the front bumper...
red bowtie is a give away if it wasn't a swapped trunk
chances of this guy not knowing what engine or model it is and goin through the work to put the wheels front end and red bowtie on are slim
sides might have gotten damaged so they were removed and as for sunroof, well its very common for a z24 to have it but its not by anymeans a mandatory thing there are a pile of them that dont

Z24 in the molding, the dual tip muffler (base model cavy's did not get, in 96-99). The kit, wheels. It is a Z24.
FU Tuning
thing looks like its got honkin rear tires on it! must be a rwd with a big block and thats why the guy doesnt know... lol
At my house we have 3 Cavaliers. A 95, 98, and 02. The 98 is a 4 door but exactly equipped like the 02 Z 24. The only thing missing are the side skirts. As far as I can tell, they are the same car from a functional standpoint. The 02 is a real- all be it - 4 door Z 24.
The 95 is a 2.2 with suspension and a few other parts borrowed from a 00 Z 24 coupe.
dennis
the 98 4 door has the front bumper like a zed and the 2.4 not stock it didn't
atleast the bumper
i thought all sedans up to 00 had OHV engines or was it 98 up
