I am thinking about getting one of these and was wondering, is the Sunfire GT just the same thing as the Z24?

Obviously i prefer the GT over the Z, i prefer the looks. Most common comment heard about how it's better is the interior is much nicer.
Perfect Jbody to me would be the interior of my GT and the exterior of the Z24
same cars, different bodies. go with what looks best to you.

I think the nicest looking stock j-body was the late-02 Z24 with the chrome wheels and the bumper valences.
The Sunfire GT has, hands-down, the nicest interior though. It's not stellar... but it's better than what they put in the Cavaliers.
I suggest you go out and test drive both and just decide which you like better. Mechanically, they are identical.
When I bought my first Sunfire, it was the interior that sold me. I was set on buying a Z24 and then test drove the GT. This was back in 2000 so I liked the exterior looks of both cars about equally, with the GT getting the edge since it actually looked different from the base models.
I say go with the Sunfire GT , you get the dual exhaust, a sweeter sound package, and lets face it, it is a way better car inside and out! Thats just my opinion, but it's your choice so go with whatever you like best!

Well look at it this way, someone once said (sorry I cant remember who)...the Cavalier looks like a grown up Metro and the Sunfire looks like a mini Firebird
95-02 z24 look the best ........03-up sunfires look the best, but in my opinion i feel like the sunfire is targeted more for the women. thats my honest opinion.

whichever you get a better deal on is the one to buy. im sure youll be happy with either and unless you have strong feelings about the exterior of either just go w/ the better deal

Z24!! sunfire is like the girls version of the cavalier
Personally, I like the 95-99 Z24 best exterior-wise.. and the 03+ Sunfire interior... so for my next car... 2000 Z24 convertible... doing a 99 front end swap (with TRD bumper as on the white car) with an 04 Sunfire interior...
Best of both worlds for me

exterior wise either the 95-99 z24 (which i now have
) or the 03+ GT. interior is all the way sunfire.
i'd personally go with an 03+ sunfire with a 95-99 Z24 front swap.
