How did you meet up with him? How is he paying you? Where is he from? Give some details and perhaps we can help.
Like what exactly did he tell you he was gonna do?

Umm...
He sends money to you, if it's real...then it's a deal...
Do you're part and send what you sold...
Plain and simple.
its kind of rude to start a public thread that questions somebody's character without any basis to believe its a bad one. if he's a really good guy, he has every right to be pissed about you asking publically if he's a bad guy. Not to mention, if everybody that ever bought a used part got on here and started a thread, we'd have a million threads questioning people's character and wouldn't be able to find the threads of actual importance.
where in az ? im in az and dont know of him
but that doesnt mean much

As opposed to coming on here after the fact, and posting "So and so is a scammer" thread instead?
I'd rather see these threads instead... and any reasonable buyer is going to understand why they're seeing these threads.. (if they see them)
i wouldn't be so worried since you're the seller. Whatever form of payment he sends just make sure it clears before sending the subs
How hard is this? Advise the fellow, "When the money clears (Depending on how he pays.) you get the speakers."
Payment doesn't clear, don't send the speakers.

I fully agree. Of course, as mentioned, it's a lot easier to cover your bases when you're the seller. Just ensure the payment clears and send the goods insured.

right i dont see the big deal about it. i would be more worried if i was him. basically he is sending you the money. all you have to do is make sure it clear then send the subs. if he doesnt send the money its not like your losing anything other than a sale.
Just set up a paypal account where he could send you the money. I think the buyer will feel a little more safe on sending you money if it is done through a middle man i.e. paypal.
Hope it goes smooth.
thanks for all the help guys, hes in tucson. i ran the member seach on here and he didnt come up so i figured my best bet would be to ask. i have heard about scams from different people on this site and i would rather be safe than sorry.

it's called watching your ass. doing research on someone before you have a transaction with them is a good thing. as long as they have nothing to hide, then they shouldn't get pissed about a simple thread asking if anyone has dealt with them before. he wasn't rude about it at all, he was just asking if anyone knew him or had any prior dealings with him.
i've sold things to people without any basis to believe they would rip me off, and i got ripped off. just cause you don't suspect anything doesn't mean you don't have a right to ask questions. if the guy takes offense to it, that's his problem, especially if he has nothing to hide.
if any one ends up reading this, he takes for ever to email you......

ok this is his email he sent. im not sure even what hes asking if someone wants to help me out but here. scam?
hello brian
sorry for the delay,i have sent out money orders in
your name for the total value of $1400 to your
address.the money orders are from wal-mart,you are
please requested to cash the money orders at the
nearest bank to you and please send the balance of the
money to my landlady barbara powell 4334 N. Soldier
Trail, Tucson, Arizona...85749 so as to pay for my
rent as i am on my way to mexico for an urgent
business transaction, you are to remove the fees for
the western union money transfer from the remaining
balance of the money, please send the balance through
western union.please let me know as soon as you send
the balance by mailing me at my email address by
mailing me the mtcn number and whatever information
that you think she might need to be able to collect
the cash, also let me know when you send out the goods.
idk why he sent 1400 considering it was only 350
FOR SALE: (5) '95-'99 Z24 Rims
Sounds bad to me.
so he sent you $1,400. want you to take $350 from it. And then pay his rent with the rest?????? He just so happens to be going to Mexico????
This seems kind of shady to me. If he already has the money, then why doesn't he pay his landlord an advancement in rent instead of having
you send it? If I were you, I'd email him back stating that you dont feel comfortable with this transaction and that you will send the MO back when you receive it.

It is definitely a scam. The money orders will be bad, though you won't find that out until after you cash them and the bank later reclaims the money.
Just keep them. Put them in a frame or something and hang them on the wall.
DO NOT SEND HIM ANY MONEY OR PARTS!!!!!!
wait cant i see if they will clear or something? btw thanks for all the help.

Yeah wait like a month after you cash the check. lol
It amazes me that people still fall for this.
