aside from the exterior, what's so special about it?
Welcome
................Which car will hit 400 whp first???................
That thing was on eBay for ages. I'm surprised anyone paid that much for it. I'd WAY rather have a new Z06. I have my doubts as to whether that Sunfire was even streetable.
Reminds me of a Porsche...
is the engine built on that?

EliteCavy - Personally, I agree with you. It's definitely not to my liking. I've seen better looking Fires rolling around here in FL.
Wild Weasel - I was pretty shocked it went for $80K too! I guess someone wanted to pay $$$ for the "uniqueness" of it and the autographed Michael Anthony guitar that went with it. It was kinda funny to hear the old folks at Barrett-Jackson pretending like they knew everything there is to know about the "tuner scene" though. LOL!
Thats it next year my car is going to Barrett-Jackson lol
its put together well, but whats so special?
there are a select few on the .org, that are of the same quality, or better.
personally i would never spend 80K...
Portage, MI
That car was up for sale on e bay for I think 30K or was it 40K....
I wonder what the guitar is worth? I think it looks nice but not $80k nice.

i would venture to guess it wasnt streetable seeing as how there is soo little wheel gap that any small bump in the road would cause those tires to crack the hell out of the fender flares.
Well it was a GM concept tuner car, thats what made it so collectable. It will most likely sit in someone's garage for the remainder of its life until they decide to sell it again. I think that its all about the hype of Barrett-Jackson. If you saw some of the prices that the concepts were going for from the 1960's (3.3 million), I think thats pretty much why it went for so much. Hell, as for the first tuner (I think) ever on Barrett-Jackson, I solute the sunfire!
What I was more surprised about what the 1.15 million that 1970 chevelle LS6 went for! Even the owner was like WTF!?!?!? With that auction it was definately a dick game between bidders.
The announcers were talking about the prices on Barrett-Jackson, and how most of those cars wouldn't see those kinds of prices on the street. I totally agree with that!

Not the first tuner on Barrett-Jackson
last time i saw that car the BONDO was cracking around the fender flares
personally ida paid 100k for mulls cav before i paid 10k for the yellow fugly thing
for 80 grand i wouldnt be buyin a J
and that's about that
It's not even a GM concept. It's an aftermarket companies tuned up car.
not to mention they saw it's an auto when clearly there is a B&M there
LE61T PTE6262 Powered
I saw it up close and personal today. It looks worse in person.
My roommate took some pics of it. I'll get them posted when he gets them transferred to his computer.

“When you come across a big kettle of crazy, it’s best not to stir it.”
haha i saw that too. im more pissed about the constant "tornado" commercials. i cant believe speed would put something like that on. they were like...."hmmm you should never drive without one"....yeah you shouldnt....unless you like getting good gas milage....and being able to drive your damn car.....but hey who likes that?
