Yea the whole Rich Christensen thing was getting kinda old and the whole I've raced at 9 tracks for one year so I know all thing was annoying. I've been to more tracks than you have been to in your life and prob made just as many passes, I am a genius no. Nobody cares what you did 5 years ago.
Also I had to seriously laugh about the whole "you didn't beat me". I wasn't aware that it really mattered since you have no car. As far as I'm concerned its like you weren't even there. Bring something faster maybe then you can actually race in Quick 8. Honestly I think the only reason there was bracket racing is because you didn't have a car that could run anything faster than 17s so you had to find some way of being able to compete, hence the bracket racing.
I've stated my thoughts on bracket racing before, its gay. Theres no driving skill involved with an automatic 17 second car. If you need a head start to beat someone, you shouldn't be racing them in the first place. I'll sure as hell be lobbying against bracket racing at the bash in the future. Sure its nice for the slower cars that want to race for something. Honestly a better format is having a seperate quick 8 for NA (slow cars) and one for power adders as we did in 07.
What little reputation or market you thought you had with this crowd is pretty much over, its probably best you move on to another platform with folks that don't know you any better. Don't let the door hit you where the good lord split ya!

I still can't beleive you asked 5 times if anyone cared if my evo participated. It was blatantly obvious it was my first time at the track with a car that takes a very skilled driver to be consistent with. I did not have a snowballs chance in hell of being competetive. I and everyone involved knew it so I am not bitching because I did not win.
You did not ask if anyone had a problem with you racing a brand new 17 second automatic rental impala. Where is the skill in that? Lets not forget you have more than likley competed in more bracket races then the other 7 of us put together. And then you cheated by hitting the brakes! Not to mention is was a bracket race you were running. And you kept the 80 bucks didn't you? That should have gone to the 2nd place person.

Regardless of your feelings towards Hypsy, bracket racing is bracket racing. That's how you run-em, even in the pro ranks. I don't like it, Rodimus and a few other ppl HATE it, but thats how it's ran. Think PINKS. It's all a game and bull$#!T is a part of it.
And you gotta remember, Hypsy paid for all the trophy's out of his own pocket, so if he could re-coup some, the more power too him.

We all new that he was running the Impala before we started. I personally didn't have a problem with it.
I was never expecting to win anything out of it, it was just something fun to do, so I'm not that worried about it.
I can understand some people not liking bracket racing, but most of you have fast cars, for those of us that don't it's really the only way for us to have a competition.
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
Ryne is a good guy in small groups and in small doses. In large groups and seeing him once a year you dont really get to know him, Should he have ran his car at the bash prob not since he was running the race portion of the event. He did get some nice trophys and the plaque for the quick 8 was a nice personal creative touch. The money he won actually went to me since he was splitting the room with me.
