Piping for the wires in my engine
Thursday, June 24, 2010 10:46 AM
Someone suggested I get the black tubing to cover up the wires in my engine. Thank you for whoever that was. It made a pretty big difference and now all those wires are not seen. I took some photos of it. Eventually I will be putting the wires through the firewall like my gauge wiring, but for now it looks pretty awesome. By the way, someone told me that there is a screw I can ground my ground wires to underneath the fuse box. I was looking and couldn't find any screw to ground to. I saw a bolt way back in there, but it looked hard to get to. Is that the one you were talking about? Anyone looking to do the same this is what I got from Amazon.com.Tubing for wires!
It comes with various sizing and decent length's for each one. It is a great kit to hide wires in your engine if you have tons of accessories.

HERE IS A VIDEO OF WHAT EVERYTHING USED TO LOOK LIKE:

No... not really. If anything, it just looks really obvious that you didn't bother to wire it through the firewall.

Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.

Better....?........Yes...Bad.....Yes..

Time to think about the wire placement....and maybe find the large grommet in the firewall and run your mess through that.

that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.

You make a lot more work for yourself half-assing it the first time around.

There is a hole in the firewall right above and to the left of your pedals with a rubber shroud over it, with stock wires coming through it already.. it is easy access inside the cabin... and it takes the same amount of time to poke a hole in that and run the wires that way than it does to do it the way you did it. and please find a more organized way to ground the other wires.

It looks like @!#$ right now.

i found the firewall after googling it. that is where my gauge wires are going and the underglow wires are going through there now. and i cannot hide ALL the wires becauses the ends need attached to the main control panel for the underglows. i think it looks tons better.

I'm assuming you had to go find the firewall because it was hiding from you? Guess it must have read some of you posts on here and was fearing how badly you were about to hack it up.
But seriously, you had to google what a firewall is?!

And judging by the original pics, all you did was replace a mess of wires with a mess of wiring loom. Not really sure how that is progress...
Your best bet is to stop modding cars. End of story.
