So here it is, been awhile since pics have been taken
For all that don't know, there is a 4" widebody (all metal, 2" both sides), IS 300 headlight conversion, 2005 5-series tailight conversion, blah blah blah, you will see everything in the pics.
BTW, to all that commented on the metal eyebrows that were over the headlights, that looked kinda off, I removed them, and did what I should have done in the first place, added fibreglass to the hood.
Now for the pics
Still have a couple days worth of sanding todo, but she is almost done..........
Should look really good with air ride and 19's..............
Obviously still a lot of work to do, but from what I can tell that's got potential to work out amazing!!!
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the doors. How are the plans coming? Is it moving forward again or is she still trying to sell it?
really nice progress!!
just not understanding the un-smooth bondo going on there, thats gonna make for alot of un-needed extra work...
(clarification), the thick sections with large amounts of bondo....
otherwise looks awesome
Selling it, she bought a BMW......there isn't as much work as you think, mostly just smoothing, and filling............most of the hard stuff is done allready.
Good luck selling, that car will be amazing when its done.. although, the headlights look a bit off right now, im sure its not hard to fix..
But I really hope the project gets finished, if not by you, by someone else. Good work.

What's she asking for it?
What are you doing with the bottom half of the doors? I dont get it...
Also, are you getting wheel spacers?
Love what you've done with it, cant wait to see it finished.

is there a book on how you did all that haha!
man good work!!
I'm confused ? I thought that she had sold the body ?
Looks pretty much the same it did a few months back minus the hood.
Its hard to tell how the final outcome will look but I imagine it will be sick.
hey guys, long time no post haha...hope everyone is doing well...
kevin the plans are still on to sell the car. financially i was in a rut with the cavalier and i needed to get out of it...real shame though now that the car is almost done and looking good.
brknnex i am looking to get around 9-10K as the car has obviously so much work, plus a rust free body and is low km...only 70kms.
ryan, that's what the widebody kit looks like complete! nothing to be done to the bottoms of the doors. as for wheel spacers, the new owner will definitely have to look into that, or custom rims at least. i just put a set of 14's on there as i had no other wheels...
steve, what you saw a few months ago was the driver side. the passenger side hadnt been touched then. i tried to sell the body but was getting nowhere with a lot of lowball offers, so i decided to keep it whole and sell it as one final piece.

first post here:
looks good but whats going on with the front passenger fender dude?the hood gap inbetween it and the hood is crazy
Juiced Towncar
The hood gap is because of a poorly made carbon fibre hood, and somebody at the factory going alittle nuts grinding the extra off, unfortunatly there isn't much I can do about the gap, except re-center the hood properly.
Borgs, what you didn't see that last time was as sharon said, and also the fibreglassed modified hood, permentaly modified and installed bumpers, the new filler piece to make the rear bumper meet the trunk lid, also I don't think the trunk lid was even started before.
Jer
I dont understand what you mean about the doors.. how can they possibly be done? Do you have a pic of something similar? or where you got the Idea cause I dont get it.
I just noticed there isnt much left to the rear bumper either, did the trunk come out? or did the rear get pushed in?
Great work Jer, Sharon, cant wait to see it finished.

Take a look at the CRX black widow 2 widebody kit (I think that is the kit) it is a 11 pc kit, and that is how they do the doors as well, or something simular to that.
It may no look like it, but the rear trunk lid is heavily modified, because the BMW tailights didn't follow the lower curve where the bumper meets the body, the body at the bumper needed to be exteneded 1" rearward, so the trunklid needed to be lengthened 1" rearward, and that screwed up how the trunk lid, and the body met up with the bumper, so I had to add fibreglass to the bumper and use epoxy to join the bumper to the car, with alittle filler to make it smooth. Pictures don't do the amount of work justice, you would have to see it in person to fully understand the scope of the work.
Jer
Should look good when its done.
Its always better when you do things yourself and with our own idea's. I love making nothing into something. You should see what I am working on now.
but I still think asking 10k for a car in this state, is way too much. I think you would be lucky to get like $7k for it. Maybe $8500 when its primed and ready for paint.
very nice. that car's gonna look amazing when its done.

Looks sick! I love the widebody. The tails look perfect on there. The headlights I'm not the biggest fan of (on and btw those are Lexus ES tails arent they? not IS)
It will look wicked when its panted I think, or even look wicked in primer! But good luck with that price, people don't want to buy other people's problems. And thats pretty much what a done up car is to most people, especially a ehavily modified one.

I think the tails are 7series BMW, are they not?
No they're from the brand new 5-series. Mat is confused, I'm sure he MEANT to write headlights but wrote tails instead.
If I remember correctly, the headlights were from the Japanese version IS300, they're definately not from an ES.

I've personally seen it in person... and the part that some people don't understand is.. its a working progress... hense the topic...
Jer, Sharon... keep up the great work, i'm positive you will sell it once you're ready.
