Eibach Sway Bars
Friday, December 08, 2006 10:49 AM
So far I have picked up Eibach pro kit springs, KYB AGX struts, monroe strut mounts. Now I need to find the Eibach sway bar kit for a good price in Ontario. Any one know of any shops that seel for a good price. I am in Oshawa, so anywhere between Kingston and Sarnia is acceptable for a drive. Hopefully somewhere in Ontario will show up. I prefer not to have to go south of the border and spend and overnight.

If you need the bars, Joe sells themover @ Racetech. New, so the price premium comes with them.

Price premium? They've been around for quite some years now. Shouldn't be to pricy.

I ordered mine from carcustoms.net, had them shipped just over the border in NY and picked them up.

But if you want something more local, I often deal with Northern Motorsport in Hamilton.

Being EIbach, they come with the "Brand Name" Premium on a peice of metal. Eibach + Addco is pretty much our only options in this department. Last I asked, Joe sells the kit for aorund 300 $ + Tax.

$300 sounds perfectly reasonable.

Call up Northern as well and then just buy from whoever has the best price. I wouldn't expect to pay any less than that. I think they were going for around $400 a couple years back when I was doing a GP on them and that was a steal at the time.

It is a steal of a price in essence, but the fact that they make you pay 300 $ for something that cost them around 20 to 40 $ to produce is insane, the profit margin is high, and this is mainly due to the fact that at a point they were the only ones out there, Prices came down after Addco released their bars.

-Aslo, I would just end up doing the IRS swap, all the parts for it can be had for $ 500 - 600 @ a decent local wreckers.

Keep in mind young grasshopper, that these bars didn't design themselves, and didn't test themselves on the cars they were designed for. Countless time and money was spent on R & D, which must be regained, hence the profit margin. Excessive? Perhaps, if you don't look at the whole picture.

Actually, both Hellwig and Addco had bars on the market before Eibach got into the game for our cars.

Eibach just had the best design, IMHO.

Which Addco then copied... or perhaps designed for Eibach in the first place.

I got my eibach kit for around $280 from Hypsy.

Border didn't even charge me a penny for them. Woot! Must have been a friday at 5!!!

Great suspension upgrade to have, especially with the add-on rear tie bar.

Well I got the Eibach kit. $178.99 US from Ebay. Garage sale item from RKSPORT, brand new in the box. Should be here next week. Another bonus, found a GM strut bar from a convertible today. It has two firewall mounting brackets and one lines up with a stud already in place on my firewall. Merry Christmas to me I guess.
