Ok, so I'm replacing the rear struts because they are blown. The passenger side went fine, in and out no problem. The driver side is being a bitch. The stock steelie (15x6) won't come off. I've tried almost everything; pulling on it, hitting it with a rubber mallet, praying to the car gods, nothing seems to work. Any ideas on how I could get the f-ing thing off?
I work on Wall Street, but didn't force you to take out a loan you couldn't afford.
hit it with a hammer to try to cause a vibration to break the rust. also spray some wd40.

I've tried it. The thing is on there good. I'll just go back out and continue beating it (the wheel that is, not my manhood).

Put three lug nuts on 75% of the way ( not tight ) and set the car back down. Put it in drive then reverse until you hear the tire break free from the hub. Dont go far - maybe just a foot at the most each way. Works every time.
Check out my Part Out List!! Great Prices !!

Rotate the tires every 5000 to prevent this in the future.
tires were rotated not even 5000 miles ago, but that was in the winter (I don't really drive too much anymore)... I guess the salt screwed with it.
I finally broke the bitch free (used the lug wrench as a pry bar and broke it free), replaced the other strut and took it for a spin. Rides so much better now, no creaks or squeaks.

i also have my back facing the car and give the tire a few swift kicks, always pops the wheel right off
After you've got it off, put a bit of antiseize on the base of the lugs and on the hub.
