Has anyone used these shocks KYB GR-2. I am looking to lower my car with either coilovers or springs not sure which i want yet but i know i need to find a good set of shocks and struts and was wondering if anyone has any experience with these on a lowered car.

GR-2's are warrantied for a 1.5" drop, no coilovers, however they are an OEM equivalent shock...

even though they are warrantied up to 1.5" i still feel that they are just oem replacements. i would spend the extra 100 or so and just get the kyb agxs which are meant for lowering and are adjustable struts

Yeah, even with a mild drop I'd go with the AGX's. Much better for the application.

The GR2's will be better and last longer than what originally came on the car, but they're still not meant for this.

I currently have the Prokit/GR-2 combo. In the beginning it was much better than stock, but after like 25,000 miles the ride is worse than stock. The struts just don't last with this combo. Do as said before. Get AGX's and also do a search on them, tons of positive reviews.
