Just take the gauge cluster out and de-solder the LED....20 minutes....easy.

You do know you can swap the rings off the old axles right?
About a 5 minute job with a Tech II.
You cant get rid of it with HPT.
I removed the cluster, took off the back cover and removed the LED.
I dont recall the exact steps but i programed it out on my 02. No ABS and no ABS light.
Do you have access to a Tech II?
GM Tech II only as far as I know. I have always been able to do more with a Tech II than any other scan tool.
00+ you can use the Tech II because you can run an 03 BCM with out ABS, thats how a Tech II can do it, your PCM and BCM have to have the ABS removed i think HPT can remove the ABS codes from the PCM but it can't do the BCM if i remember correctly
need an 03-05 non abs flash
JBO since July 30, 2001
he doesn't tune the BCM and tuning is done in the PCM or ECU or ECM what ever you wanna call it but the BCM never gets touched best to find an 03 on with out ABS and stick it in there
or just de-solder the light

I never changed any parts to disable it. All done with a Tech II.
