anyone running ssbc brake up front with stock z wheels? i know the site says 18s are needed. i searched but not much was answered.
also meant to say that i have seen other big brake kits being run by stock 95-99 wheels. im wondering if its possible with the ssbc.
I highly doubt with the SSBC... their calipers are HUGE.
Wilwoods are the smallest and next in line is Baer IIRC
Nope it will not work behind stock wheels even with smaller kit with 12" rotors

Why would you doubt their website?
I've got Baers and they are no where close to clearing a 16" stock wheel either. The rotor will fit inside of it, barely, but you won't be able to use calipers. That might be all right for you though, I dunno.
What is the smallest wheel with SSBC's? not talking about what there site says, but what people have actually used.

my rsm kit fits the 95-99 z's
i'm surprised the baers don't fit, they run a similar caliper to the rsm.
my baer's don't fit behind my 18's even. they barely clear the 17's i have...
i don't see how you would possibly fit them behind a 16" z wheel
17's would fit over my brake kit with the right offset or a small spacer. Although I have the force ten kit so not the normal ssbc kit.
The only BBK that has been able to clear a stock Z rim is the RSM kit. Thats becuase it is a 12 inch rotor.
the Wilwoods will clear some 16s, but not the stock Z's.
