OK everyone here knows and hate how sunken in the rear wheels are on J's.
Currently our only options are
1) staggered offset rims, downside here is you cant rotate your rims if needed without being mexiflush in the front.
or
2) Wheel spacers, down side to these is wear and tear on wheel bearings. Depending on how thick of a spacer you can substantially lower a wheel bearings life expectancy.
Now I propose a 3rd option for J's that several other platforms have done for years.
Rear wheel hub spacers.
They would be similar to these. (These are NOT J spacers)
They would be made in 3/8in or 1/2in thickness and come with mounting hardware. Prices would be around $40 per set (2 spacers)
These are ready to be made but I need to see the interest, once we get 5 people (not including me) I can get the ball rolling.
So who wants some?

I think bigfoot is blurry,
that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.

yes! this saves me some time with my machinist. Im down for a set of 3/8"
few questions though
what are these made out of? i know i was looking at $40 a piece made from 6061 billet aluminum 1/2" thick so im assuming using steel?
new longer hardware will be included? i know the factory uses round head torx bolts, picture shows cap screws.. may work but cant remember what it looks like inside there if that could cause clearance issues? but also assuming its just a photo for illustration
coating options? for me it wouldn't cost me anything to have them powdercoated, but for others this may be a selling point.
I'll take a set at that price.

Yes these will be made of steel.
New hardware will be included.
We can use cap head bolts in our hubs (I am currently since I hate the torx bolts.)
There will be coating options but as I said this is a feeler just to get the concept put into production.

If compatible with neon rear swappers I'm in
Interested, but i dont know which size i'd need.
Boost > N/A
180hp in 1989 or 260hp in 2008, you decide. Quad < Ecotec

thats a really good point
after examination, i'm going to go for some 1/2" spacers.. money in hand satch. lets get this going.
Damn good price. Too bad I already have them
You're planning graded hardware, right? IIRC, the factory stuff is 9.8
.
Very interested since I need to replace both wheel bearings anyway, And still itching to do the neon rears.
I gotta measure and see what size I would need.
Doea club teh jeffie members get a discount
hehe i'll take a set not sure what size i need though either
