MY FRONT BRAKES ARE ABOUT WORE OUT AND ABOUT TO DO A MILD UPGRADE NOTHING SPECIAL.I'M GETTING A SET OF CROSS DRILLED SLOTTED ROTORS (I'M
TIRED OF BRAKE FADE AFTER A COUPLE HIGH SPPED STOPS) BUT MY QUESTION
IS ABOUT THE PADS.WHAT HAVE PEOPLE USED AND HOW DO THE WORK.I'M
AGAINST ANYTHING WITH A LOT OF METAL IN THEM ie LIFE TIME PADS.LOOKING
FOR SOME RELIABLE WITH THE SQUEEK,I MAY JUST USE STOCK PADS.
Cross drilled and slotted rotors (together) suck. Definately use one or the other, but not both on the same rotor. I prefer slotted to cross drilled (more surface area, almost same effects without any cracking).
Look at a ceramic/kevlar pad if you dont want something with metal in it. I'm using Axxis Ultimates and they work excellent and remeber to turn Caps Lock off next time please.
The rotors will have little to no effect on brake fade. It's all about the pads.

this is the company that I am using for my pads. And once again though I have top say that I have hardly ever had problems with my factory pads and that is not just a few hard stops or brakes that alot of laps on road courses and autocrosses with stock GM pads. I also use regular rotors no slots or holes.
