I own a 2004 cavalier 4 door and I recently bought lowering coilovers. I'm planning on doing the install myself. I know most about what I'm doing, but i'm wondering if anyone can tell me where to find a tear down of the suspension so i can do it right the first time?
if you want to do it right the first time you should make sure you have the correct struts to handle the spring rates that those coilovers have
what kind and where did you get these coilovers?
Yeah, start by listing what you bought. Then we can tell you if it's even possible to install it properly.
There's three options for you...
You've got Konis and either a Ground Control or RK Sport sleeve kit.
You've got the RK Sport Prostreet coilover kit.
You've got the new coilover kit by Tein.
If you've got something else... well then you're not doing it right. Someone please chime in if I've missed a proper kit. It's late.
Sounds good to me Wild Weasel, hopefully he hasn't fallen victim to an Ebay kit.
Well if he has... now is the time to find out... before he tries to install them.
im on the rk sport website and i cant find the pro street kit for an 03 cav??

There is no difference between years, the shocks/struts and springs are the same design.
And if u are gonna slap these dreaded coil overs on which seems like a bad idea, u can get a Hyne's or Chilton's manual. They will show u exactly how to disassemble anything on ur car.
