this winter is the year i do a big brake upgrade everywhere. irs goes in along with corvette front brakes. now if i remember right, rsm racing put corvette brakes on their sunfire, im sure the swap cant be that hard to do. im a machinist so i can fab up any brackets needed to make it work. my question is this, can i take the bearing and hub assembly from say a fwd gm vehicle that runs the 5x115 bolt pattern and slap that on and be good to roll? or will i be mixing and matching axles aswell to fit inside of there? once i can have the rotor mounted securly the calipers will be a breeze to fit and since im doing the big bolt pattern in the rear figured i might aswell do the same for the front. and ive always wondered how good a lighter car with corvette brakes would stop
one last thing brake booster and master cylinder, im sur ei need to upgrade these aswell. ive been told i can take parts from an f body and be good to go. anyone have nay input on this? thanks

Baer uses Corvette calipers on their big brake upgrade.
You can machine the stock parts to accept the Corvette caliper
thats good to hear. im sur ethat ill need to make an adapter bracket for the caliper to sit right though. the bracket is the least of my worries right now. im jsttrying to figure out more along the lines of what hub assembly to use that will fit with minimal work

From what I recall.. the master cylinder bore size is the same between most GM cars.. so you shouldn't have to bother with it. I know I didn't have any issues with the Corvette rear discs on my Cavalier.. and I've had that kit on three cars now.

As Cherub stated already... it's the same as the Baer kit. The only thing you need to fabricate (or copy, as has been the case for many people so far) is the mounting plate. Everything else is bolt-on.
I have pics around somewhere... when I resurrect my server later today I'll try and find them

thought i replied to this, lol, thanks john, what about the rotors? as far as i know gm has always used the big 5 bolt pattern for the rotors, wondering if the early 90's vettes used a 5x100?

no corvette has ever used 5x100.
figured as much

Just re-drill the rotors to 5x100. Since you've got access to a machine shop, that one should be easy.
are you guys saying that i could put an all disk corvette brake system on my sunfire with out alot work because if you guys can show me how that works i would be really interested in buying them if the price is not to crazy
