I decided to get take out my goldlines and switch em back to stock springs...everything went well untill i tried to put the struts back on to the car. I couldnt even get the bottom part alligned. they werent even close to each other. is there a trick to put it back on?..I tired every method i knew/ I tried moving the wheel hub around..nothing worked

I looked at the How to's. they just tell say..."now put back the struts back on and repeat steps this and that on the other side."

if you are doing the fronts, jack both sides of the front of the car up. if you are doing the rears, jack both sides of the rear of the car up. this helps a lot and will probably solve you problem.

I'm having trouble picturing how it wouldn't line up. Loosely put the nuts on the top first to hold it upright and then just put it in the knuckle and push the bolts through.

its because the weel hub where they connect to doesnt go down enough. its like the strut is too long and the weel hub wont do down as far as the strut is for me to put them back together and put the bolts in.

thats cause you were droped , just use your foot to push down while you line the strut and knuckle back up

best would be to have a friend help

makes it alot easier if you de- attach your sway bar endlink...

when you jack up lets say the left side, the right side compresses. the bar will then pull up the left side a bit even though its in the air.

once you remove the endlink it should be easier.

What I did was use a long heavy duty screwdriver, place it thru the bottom hole on the strut, then thru the bottom hole behind the wheel, and just pryed it up (compressing the strut) enough to where the top holes were lined up, then slid in the bolt in the top to hold it in place. I've done this everytime I've taken them on and off, and it works great and fast for me.

I just put some weight on the knuckle... pushes the control arm down and not usually an issue but I weigh near 200 lbs...

Easiest solution is to lift the whole front of the car while working. Both sides will drop down together and you won't be fighting the sway bar.

^^ agreed, the alternative is to loosen up the nut on your end-links for your sway bar and step on the end and push it down. that what i did.
good luck man

like i said at first, jacking up both sides of the car will help a lot. i had the same problem once, i thought it was nearly impossible to get the strut back in, but when i jacked both sides up, it went in

all is correct..either lift both rh&lh in front, basically because now the sway bar is being pulled down instead of up. or just loosen the endlinks and you can lift 1 side at a time..its all your choise on which way you prefer..when i did mine i just loosened the endlinks, with 1 jack and no stands i found it safer/easier this way
