Total a newbie question, but how do i remove the calipers on my 03? I see the bolt that connects the brake line. Where are the "alleged" bolts that mount the calipers? I've helped do brakes a few times at the Toyota dealer I work for (I work in Parts) but can't remember this step now that I've got my wheel off. Pics would be a real plus but I can figure it out with a description. Thanks for any help and for your mercy on an ignorant noob.
you need a 3/8" allen key to loosen the 2 bolts that hold the caliper on
and a large screw driver to to pry open the caliper some
then a large C-clamp to push the piston back into the caliper
hang the new pads , put the caliper back on , and pump the brake pedal a couple times , cause you gotta push the piston back up against the pads
Hmmmm..after all my searching in the "brake" forum, I found the answer in the maintenance forum. 3/8 allen bolts in the back of the caliper.
Thanks for your help though, 97cavie24ls. I read a lot of your posts.

hehe. Yeah, upgrading them is for here. Changing the pads is maintenance.
I'm actually surprised you didn't find it in here somewhere as well though. Oh well. Now this thread exists for people to find.
