Hey, just got a RK ram air hood. Doesn't fit with my generic ractive/whatever off brand bar I had. Will the GM brace clear the hood?

The GM brace is lower than most after-market braces.
But RK vigorously defends that it's hoods are the exact same as stock on the bottom side. Are you sure it's hitting?
RK's hoods are not the same as stock underneath and they have never, to my knowledge, ever made that claim. It would be stupid.
RK's hoods are properly engineered for both safety and performance. The underside maintains the stock requirements for crash characteristics. Maybe that's what you're thinking of.
And yes, the GM brace will fit with it. That's what I and many other people have.

rk also , atleast at 1 time offered a bar made just for their ram air hoods , but i only know of 1 person with it , because they were hard to get and he lived in san diego
Hmm. I e-mailed them a few weeks ago. I directly ask "what is the shape of the hood, underside included". They stated it was exactly the same as stock.
I deleted the e-mail. But that is what they said.
I'm not suprised that it is different. I am suprised they told me it was the same.

that bar was a copy of the GM bar that comes on the verts
A copy or was it the actual GM part?
RK has resold the GM bars for years. They're still listed on their site and, for an extra $25, they'll chrome it for you.
