i was looking at suspension and my car probably needs new suspension. I am looking for a real good setup. What are everyone's recommendations.
That all depends on what you want from your car.
How low do you want it?
Are you going to Auto X?
Do you want it to be adjustable?
What is your price range?
There are a few factors your going to have to look at before you can decide whats going to be the best suspension for you. Overall, i don't think you can say BEST suspension, just which is going to be best for you.
exactly....
i dont think he gets it as all he asks, is "whats the best"
you actually have to sit down and put some brain power to what do you want out of your car.
if you spend a bit more time looking at your options and reading the advantages and disadvantages, you;d be a great deal farther than you are now after being here nearly a year.
alum. blocks welded to the mounts. makes for a solid suspension
k like the other post i probably wont autocross cause my cars a auto but i still want really good handiling that is adjustable price needs to be under a grand
doesnt matter if you will autoX or not, the other post prob has the most cost effective all around setup, yet you ignored it.
agx and prokits arent a magical autoX only setup.
No one has mentioned eBay coilovers and stock struts?

i would, as a joke, but then i would feel bad cause someone mentioned that before and they thought it was true....and bought a new set of gm struts, and ebay coilovers.
granted everyone has dull moments, some are just really non functioning thinkers.

you can auto cross with an auto tranny.
anyways, i have koni reds, eibach sportlines, strut tower bars front and back, and next week control arm bushings. and probaly by the end of the year, a rear sway bar. i think my car handles pretty well
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
true....
whoever told you that you cant autoX cause you have an auto... i will go out on a limb and be blunt and say they are a F-ing moron.
I autocross with an auto.
I would think autocrossing in an auto would be easier, just because trying to get around the corner and go, you don't have to worry about downshifting and missing gears. I want to try it in my auto, but haven't gotten a chance to get a hold of anyone local with a machine press to fix my control arm bushings and subframe brace.

98' Pontiac Sunfire SE
I love my Koni Yellows, Ground Controls and Eibach swaybars
duh, of course you auto-X with an auto, otherwise they would call it manual-X. man some peoples kids.
on the seriousness i happen to really like my pro-kit, although i do not have any experience with other suspensions that do not lift the vehicle.
go ahead and start thinking/planning what you want to do with your car and go from there, it gets said so much but only because noone ever listens. do yourself a favor and if your suspension is still working properly take that money and put it aside until you figure out what you wanna do and spend your money efficiently to get the maximum out of it.
I must say that the eibach prokit and agx combo rides awesome
I have 7 rear and 3 front and it handles and rides great
Alas, I am selling the setup (complete bolt on: struts, springs, mounts) to make way for the gravana coilovers

I think there are several setups that are "better" than B&G's and AGX's. I'm not trying to make you feel bad, but a full coilover system is the absolute best way to go. Gravana's coilovers look like they will be fantastic.
for a daily driver, my konis and goldlines ride great
