Hey guys,
never thought i'd ask this, but i have a guy who wants me to install stock springs on his koni reds. I figure they would be fine, but just as long as the they are the same length as stock shocks.
Does anybody have this set up, or recently installed konis and noticed the length was the same?
Nate

Should be just fine. It's not the length of the strut, but the height of the spring that will matter.

WHATS THE POINT OF KONIS IF THEYRE ON STOCK SPRINGS!
he needs to save his lot of time by putting on lowering springs or coilcovers on all at once!
The answer is yes and for Maxxies remark, they would nice to have because they are adjustable.

i personally think they would be overextended. he should go with something cheaper like monroe's or kyb's.

No, they'll work just fine. I'd keep them closer to the softest setting though since the springs don't have a whole lot of force compared to many lowering springs.
If you intend to change the springs later, this is a good way to go. They may be the last dampers you ever buy.
he has lowering springs, but he doesn't want them anymore
Thanks guys!

I had agx's on stock springs and they were nice. they got rid of the disconnected feeling on the freeway. my wife even noticed!

i would stick the konis on and set the front full soft and the rear a bit firmer than the front. I even noticed that braking in the wet was better. must be the lack of rebound in the stock struts.
see ya!
