Didn't know exactly where to post this, so here it is.
1996 Pontiac Sunfire. After 24 years, the radio started dropping out when I hit bumps. It finally took the radio out, so I replaced it thinking it was inside the radio. Wrong. New radio does it too
Any ideas where it's loosing connection ( including positive or negative, even though I have a ground wire from chassis going to the radio case). I don't see anything else dropping out.
Thanks for your help in advance.
You're going to have to double check all your connection, and trace back the power and ground.
Your ground could have some corrosion, a wire could be chaffed, or even a fuse could be partially blown.
unfortunately though there is no way for anyone to give you a definitive answer without having the car to diagnose.
