recommendations for leather...
Wednesday, September 21, 2005 9:47 PM
just wanted to know everybodys thoughts on putting leather into my cav...

What leather seats from GM bolt directly into a cav? is there any back seats that fit in? I would need black....

there is a cool set of black leather racing seats with red baseball stitching out there... does anybody where to get them? for those of you that have this style, are they a pain in the butt to recline, and also to fold forward so somebody can get in the back?

lastly, what does it cost to get seats refinished in leather? would it cost a lot more to get bentley-type piping around the edges?

thanks in advance

get it custom done a GOOD professional shop, or buy katzkin (with custom colors, stitching, etc). those are my ONLY two recommendations

If you're near Toronto, I can hook you up with the guy who reupholstered mine. He did an awesome job. It'll probably cost you around $1600 or so.

No Cavaliers, with the possible exception of the Toyotas, ever came with leather stock. There was some white vinyl in some convertibles... maybe that's what you're talking about.

yea, on the price sheet, is it listed as a manufacturer option or a dealer option? there's a difference

i remember the salesman was trying to sell me a car that was 3500 dollars more (actually, the same @!#$ black z24, NO difference), but it had leather!!!! as he kept saying.

anyway, when i said, well, what are my options? he just threw the katzkin book at me. lol.
