Hey,
I have been wanting to do my interior for some time now and i had finally gotten enough money to do something about it. Well then I quit my job (long story) and I need to keep the money til I get a new job. This is how my interior looks right now...
And yes that is in my basement. I haven't had back panels or a center console (or cupholders) for about 4 months.
I figured I'd get something so I had a project to work on and I went and got some interior parts from the junkyard...
I picked up the rear panels, threshold things, and center console. The only thing i'm worried about is that being as these came from a cavy, the rear panels have that little line/crease towards the bottom so they might not match with the sunfire door panels (will explain later). Has anyone used the cavy rears with the sunfire fronts??? If so do u have any pics??? Also, if i decide to fill that crack to make it smooth, what should i use to do it with?? Bondo, lots of filler primer???
I also picked up this stuff from home depot...
I wasn't sure if I needed the mineral spirits but I figured the more prep the better. My plan is to do the filler primer method and do a two tone silver/gunmetal and black with silver on bottom and black on top, starting from the backseat. It'll prolly come out looking something like sndsgood (im pretty sure that is who it is). The two tone is the reason why i wanted that crack to match with the sunfire doors.
Just thought i'd share my ideas. Im still trying to decide on an accent color for fabrics and such. Any ideas welcome.

look at the underside of the coat hanger thing its got a round piece in it you put a flat head into the slot it has and pry it out and the hanger comes down.

O crap, i didn't even think of that but looking at them, they look quite a bit different, darn. Time to go back to the junkyard. Yesterday I picked up some a pillars, headliner, and some paint. I hope the a pillars and headliner are the same thruout cavy and sunfire.

Yep, I've already swapped rear deck and carpet. I did my headliner yesterday. It's in the HOW TO REMOVE AND DYE HEADLINER post. It makes so much difference.
