I dont know for sure, but I dont think a lot of them come with airbags... from the pics I have seen I dont see how you could fit them in there... I could be worng tho.

You MIGHT be able to somehow fit an EVO or STi steering wheel but the odds of it working are slim at best. I don't know how they mount or if the airbag module would mate with the factory system. For a true racing wheel, you're not going to get one with an airbag in it.

Ah. Well, that changes things. Here's what I told myself teh other day when I swapped my factory wheel for one from a Lumina Euro:

Whatever you do, no matter what happens, don't get in a wreck.

I love the wheel, the red was originally blue because it was going in my 2.2 but that never happened so now it's in my red z24. I love the smaller diameter it offers, gives sharper turns. And it resembles an Evo wheel. I love evooooos! I personally don't mind not having an airbag for a couple reasons
A - I always wear my seatbelt, granted it's not 100% guarenteed it will save me.
B - The airbag could kill me by itself by breaking my nose and sending it into my brain
C - When they blow they release that powdery sh*t that burns and what not
D - When they blow they can burn you face and all the way up your arms,

Yes, I know these are all lame reasons but regardless. I feel safe enough with just the seatbelt.

That interior looks sweet man. I wish I could do the fiberglass look... im just not good at painting/sanding. How much did you pay for that wheel? and where did you get it from?

Oh yeah sorry, it was like $40 from ebay of course lol And all the fiberglass look is alot of sanding with grit from 60 to 1500, it takes ALOT of time and effort but in the end it's definitely worth it. I still have to do my door panels, backseat panels, the lower dash and the center console. So far I have 1 door panel sanded and ready for primer and 1 backseat panel sanded and ready for primer lol After doing 1 I really don't feel like doing the other

Not to break b@lls but I recently wrecked my '05 (seven weeks in the shop, they should have totalled her, hopefully I'll get her back this week). When the airbag blew, I had already left over a 100 foot skidmark and was probably below 30mph (from 65). Even though my arms were locked on the wheel, my face was cushioned in the airbag with the force of the collision. No broken nose, no bits of cartilage tearing through brain cells. I was wearing my seatbelt which broke in the locked position making escape from the vehicle a little difficult as if the situation wasn't unsettling enough. The powder did leave my skin a nice red color for the next day or so (it was over three hours before I would make it to the shower to clean up). I was told the powder is made of some kind of silica to preserve the airbag.

Anyway, my point is that after that accident, I've decided to keep the wheel with the airbag in it. Now that I see how it works and why, I feel safer knowing it's there. That doesn't mean I don't feel comfortable in my '77 Dodge but you get the idea.

BTW, don't try to power through any Silverado's out there Need For Speed style. It doesn't work like in the game. DOH!!!

Having an airbag is safer than not having an airbag, despite anyone's ill-informed personal opinions.

That's a fact.

That's why all new cars come with them and they are not optional.

I would never remove an airbag just to have a little extra bling on a regularly street driven car. It's stupid and counterproductive.

Mods should improve the car.

Just tossing in my 2 cents for anyone who cares.

Air Bags suck. If I am driving fast enough for the steering wheel to kill me in a wreck then it is time for me to die anyways!

that could happen at 65mph. do you feel you should die for doing the speed limit?
