I think I like where this is going...
Tuesday, May 16, 2006 4:11 PM
I would like to thank Chris (agentomega) for lending a hand helping put this on. Took all of like 10 min to do so and for the pigtails for the 9007 bulbs.

Anyone know what size star wrench is required to remove stock mud flaps off the car? Thats all that is holding me back from installing the Cf fenders next and taking off the front bumper. Stupid things are incoperated into the wheel well shroud. Other wise i would just rip everything right off...

A lot of times you can use allen wrenches as well when in a pinch.

now you just need 2K headlights, corners and to either modify your bumper or get a @K bumper...

Still can't belive how easily she bolted up, man--my ram air hood was a bi-otch. Once those finders are installed and fill up the gap, that front end is gonna look KILLER with the Type-J

I have had my thoughts about it many times personally. I am going to see what happens when i throw them on there. If i don't like it, only a few bolts to remove them and sell them off to someone.

I bought everything off Steve healy from the .org, this is his car with everything installed...

Maybe i will throw this up into the image manipulation and see if they can make the car white and i can get an "idea" from that.

Ha Ha... there is going to be a fight over these if i end up not wanting them. I better get on my ball here and go by the damn torx bit and see what comes of this...

Spencer... My goal is to be all outfitted by the end of July, thats including new rubber for the 18"s and kit installed. I won't be driving it probably at all this summer since I am trying to pay off the last 2,600 i owe on the car before i go away to my 4 year college in January. Only planned trips I plan on making with it are out to the RD Fabs shop to get my exhaust totally finished up, Syracuse Sport Compact and truck blast, then up to my camp to store it in our 2 car garage. Buuut... I am willing to meet up with you and snap some before paint shots..

Heh.. well i hate to bum you guys out, but i got the torx bit which after buying a whole set from t-60 all the way down to t-40.. they were all to big, Had to make 2 trips to the store so eventually i nailed it on the head the size required is t-30. Under the mud flaps... which have been on the car about 7 years now and the car has seen a few winters, there is rust on my stock fenders, I haven't fully assesd it yet, I am currently ripping them all off right now and will see if its just the rail road track dust type or if its started to oxidize the metal. If it has eating away the metal i will be keeping the CF fenders... I'll throw some pics up later to show what I am talking about...

Just so you know, from that pic you posted, those are 95-99 black headlights & corners, not 2K+, he is using with that front bumper cover...

Ok well here is some progress pics... Yes i know he was using the CF fenders with the 99 style lights, I am going to cut the bracket off with a dremel and gotta take a run to the junk yard for the 00+ bracket.

Ahhh.... someone raped the front end of my car...

Here is the rust bubble on the fender where the mud flaps use to sit...its identical to the other side.

I had to play with the 2000+ headlights just to see what they were going to look like. However i need to get the brackets still to hold them in place properley.

I'll keep throwin up new pictures as i get this project more towards done...
