I'll start this post off by first giving out a huge thanks to my brother for this car. When new problems started arising with the white 97' cavalier, he offered me a 2000 Z24 that had everything i could ever want in it. A 5spd, power sunroof, everything. It needed some bodywork on it and an engine and transmission. We put a newish 30,000 mile motor in it out of a 2000 grandam and it ran great.
Now over 3 years ago I started on the white car and just couldn't get it finished due to various problems in my life, and especially with the passing of my father last year. I was going to give up on it altogether but made the decision to go for it and finally finish a j-body exactly how i envisioned it years ago. I have a lot more work to do this weekend to get it on the road monday.... but heres a little teaser pic before i sprayed the clearcoat this morning.....
Lots more info and pics coming later
ooooohhhh i like it , now finnish it

Meck is back in town....
I hope this one will end up like some of your older posts, I spent hours drooling over your orange cav in the past.
FOR SALE
well this car will be nothing like the orange cav... i grew out of that stage
This one will be a lot like the white car except a few more subtle changes and a supercharger planned this coming winter
Awsome dude. Congrats on getting a car that you will drive and show off with pride.
Keep this post going with the progress.

i appreciate all the comments guys. After spraying i decided to take the rest of the day off from it. I've been working 10-12 hours days for the past month 7 days a week. Either at work or working on this thing so I'm effin exhausted. The car turned out great though.
I'll have many new updated pics by tomorrow evening so stay tuned
Now that is a teaser pic, I have been teased!! Looks great so far, can't wait to see the outcome!
I am kind of in the same boat... I just brought my J out of storage to re-do everything how I originally envisioned it.
hmmm where have I seen that hood before?
hehe
swooosh!
Well she's up on the trailor ready to go down to an enhanced inspection station for title work. The insurance company totaled this car after the owner blew the drivetrain up so it has a salvage title on it at the moment.
Here are a few pics, sorry for the quality, my cellphone was the only thing i had on me at the time
When it comes home tomorrow im putting my koni suspension in it so it will be dropped
Oh how I wish I picked up that hood
Lookin good man

I think bigfoot is blurry,
that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.

hey now, thats a fun drive in a car like this, although i hit a deer up here in the white car also
I have a few ideas for wheels.... that will come later on this summer. My main goal at the moment once its on the road is to get the interior done. I have a whole sunfire swap to do inside and im getting some stuff reupholstered.
