add weight to the sedan, put in pieces to block the sound, that way it might sound like a nicer ride on the inside.....

but really, the diet that you put your car on will only lose a few lbs, its not worth it

(waits for all the "you can take out your spare and blah blah blah and lose 75 lbs!") yah...who cares, its a cavalier/sunfire, not a race car

Take out anything that you can see that you don't want. Honestly, weight reduction will only do so much...you have to increase your power to really make a difference, hence power to weight ratio.

yeah but i figured any little bit would help, cause i can notice that when there are extra people in the car, it bogs..compared to when it is just me in the car it gets up and goes better.......thats why i figured the weight reduction would make a good difference

Well yeah...

Say the people you have in your car weighed atleast 130 each, 2 people, that's an extra 260 lbs in your car, that's a big difference. You're gonna have a hard time removing even 100 lbs without your car looking hideous cause you have no interior.

They are good for what you need, so yes.

Eh, long story...you can read about it on the thread here:

I guess. Just remember, weight adds up...5 lbs here, 10 lbs here...it will eventually equal up.

You could take out your seats, trunk carpet, insulation under your carpetting...those are just some ideas.

Taking out the easy to pull things like your spare tire and back seat is definitely worth while for shaving a few hundredths off your time at the track.

If you're considering this for everyday driving around, then the drawbacks far outweigh the benefits. The difference you'll actually feel is negligable. 100ths don't matter on the street. Now the extra road noise, ghetto look to a stripped interior, and the colossal hassle you'll face if you need your spare and it's not there... now all that's meaningful.

i took out my windsheild wiper bottle and the lines to the wipers(didn't work so y not) i never have rear seat passengers, so i took out the rear seat belts and latches, some of the fenderwells, that piece of plastic right in front of you when you open the hood, hood liner, a/c and most of it's b/s, spare, ummmmmmmm sawzall is your friend, underbody heat sheilds and crap like that, trunk carpeting and i got a few more things planned whenever i can get around to trying to boost.
somewhere over 100lbs
