32 Valve Northstar V8

I have a buddy at school thats swears this motor will fit into a 95-99 cavalier, without heavy modification. Just curious if anyone has seen this been done before, or knows if it will go in without cutting fender wells? Thanks

What's funny to me is people bragging about beating Cavaliers in street races.

It's not to say that it's impossible, a fairly common modification among Fiero owners is the swap for a northstar. Its a load of work any way you put it largely just because it's an engine swap. If you were planning on it, do it, just make sure you do all the research.

HaHaHaHa yea right!!
That engine is soo long!!
You'd have to cut your car apart just to fit it in there!!

I doubt its much more work than a 3100/3400/3800 swap...

Except that the 3100, 3400, and 3800 are V6. A V8 would be longer, and the V6s are tight as it is.

Their not that much shorter than the northstar specifically. The northstar is small for a V8.

the approximate weight of a cavalier is 3700 lbs, and the weight of a fox body mustang is about 3300 lbs so why would you even want to put a v8 in a cavalier.

What are you smoking!? The LN2s wouldn't run below a 20 second 1/4 mile if they weighed that much!
