I'll be in STS again this year but making a few changes.
-Tein Super Street Coilovers
-Replacing remaining stock piping in my exhaust with 2.5" piping (header to cat-back)
-Turbotech Upper Motor Mount
-HP Tuning
-Hopefully 15x7.5 kosei K1's if I can find some used.
Running my falken RT-615's from last year on stock rims.
-Chris
I'd really like to run a 14.5, though I'm not sure I'll actually be doing anything to make that happen.
-Get the new project built and running.
-Knock off my own best time in the Top 10 lists and move up a spot or two.
-Win the series I race in. (Took 2nd in 2006)
I used to race cars, now I race myself.

join NASA (national auto sports association)
run the car for some hot laps at mid-ohio
break 13s all motor
thats all for now
Break into 13's. Not blow it to @!#$ in the process.
Autox for the first time.
Oh, I forgot. Actually run a 1/4 mile!
Race STS, probably not really modify the car, although i might get some falken's. Run at mid-ohio.
Skwirl - there's a NASA event at mid-ohio on April 21/22. You goin to that one?
best my time last year of 16.04 at the track by at least a second or two.

i want to go to the drag strip some more. now i have a header so will see how i do. going to try and beat my bosses stock derango.
i would also like to try auto x, i have lowering springs and strut bars so i think it would be fun, weary of the walls though.
As far as autox, get some sort of camber plates up front, even if I have to make them myself, resort the alingmet, get a front sway bar on, change rear spring rates, corner weight and get at least 2 tires. Beond that stuff as money alows: totaly redo the brake system including N body front spindles and brakes, change hubs out back to the bigger 114.3 bolt pattern (for strength and to match the fronts) and get discs on, and rebuild the bigger bore master cylinder I've had sitting forever. All that would require either putting tires on my 15" rims, or finding a set of 16x8s with 245/45/16s
. Finaly with all that, still get stomped by some bad a$$ evos and STi's in TSM or SM depending on what region I'm running in.
At the strip 13s all motor for sure. To help with that, W41 cams and a totaly custom tuned computer, minor weight reduction, a good cold air intake (damn 95 quads have to custom make them) and maybe some exhaust optimization. With that all done, go for 12s with some traction and N2O
.

I've got a set. Used 1 season (~12-15 races), excellent condition and new lugs.
Drop me a line if you're interested.

A new autoX ride for '08.....
I want to try Auto-X, or road course style racing this year.
Beat SpeedRacers time for 2.4 N/A.
FU Tuning
I just hope to make it to the strip to run. I didn't go last year at all even to watch let alone run something. Work schedule is crazy.
What should my 04 LS cavy run? And it's an auto.

Well Strut bars, new tires, new brakes for auto x.
Drag racing... beat my 15.2 and hit 14's
i plan on getting my ported and polished head put on, and breaking into the 15's for once....

i pretty much got all my goals done last year for the drag strip
i wanted to finish at least 5th in points in sport compact class. got 3rd
i also wanted to beat the top 2 guys in sport compact. i did that.
and i also wanted to get my first event win. i did that too. and won a 2nd event too boot,
this year i want to do the same. or better
hopefully be going to more autox this year
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
Sort alignment, corner weigh the car, camber plates, some nice 15's and some new 615s, figure out my pops, and creaks. The car is falling apart, and its time to drive it till it breaks! I need to figure out what I am going to do about a daily car, cause this thing isn't cutting it anymore. Its going to be my track slut.
Go Go OG Traction!!
If you don't adjust your camber much its better to just get the camber bolts. They are like $25 and the plates are like 200. I've got plates and the max I can get is like 2.75 deg of camber. For some reason when you start moving the top of the strut in the toe goes wayyyyy in.
I know. I am using camper bolts to give some positive camber to push my tire away from my spring, its rubbing. Then I am using camber plates to get the negative camber back. Do you find that much camber to help? I was only planning on 1.5 deg and adjusting from there.
Go Go OG Traction!!
I need to make a correction, I wasn't going to get much past -2.0 deg of camber with 0 toe on the plates. I had them about 85-90% of the way in when I was at -2.
It sounds like you need a wheel with LESS offset. -1.5deg of camber is good if your car sees the street fairly often. I was running -2 for awhile and I was eating the insides of my street tires pretty good. I'd be inclined to put wheel spacers on the car when you put your racing tires on-- assuming you don't want to buy different wheels. Moving the wheel out will put more stress on your wheel bearings, so keep that in mind.
The ideal amount of camber will vary with your tire. If you are running STS and using Azenis, MX's, etc, -1.5 to -2 is probably good. Race compounds such as Hoosier's work best with -2 to -2.5.
