Hey guys i found the biggest tire to fit under the fenrs of a Cavalier was a 25x9 M&H Slick. Is there any way to clear some 26" tires under the factory unibody? I know they will hit the spring mount on the shock absorber, i was just wondering if anybody else knew a way to modify the suspension to clear a bigger tire. any ideas will help out.
If the spring seat is the only issue, you could always cut it off and use Ground Controls. Hell, for a dedicated drag car you should already be on coilovers anyway.
Or get a wheel with less offset.

i had 26s on my car before... I had to put coil overs in the front and cut the stock spring purch....
im about to attempt 26x11.5 slicks on 8 inch wide 2000 camaro 5 spoke rims. coilovers definately needed.

Why? 24.5x8x15 hooks just fine... a 25x9x15 would be a tad bit of overkill.

Owen where did you get your wheels at? Would those size tires (24.5x8x15) fit on stock wheels?
