Lol screw you, for the price, it would be perfect. I live in the mountains of central pennsylvania, i would like to see you drive your fancy Corvette up here right now.
I'd love to see you drive that 2wd ranger up the same hill. Neither of you are going to make it
I'm reminded of Lucky03 and all the video's he would post in a day.. lol.
Lol i have a friend with a 2wd RANDER(and actual ranger not a mazda lol) and my GFs step dad has a 2wd exlorer and they both get around great in the winter with snow treads and sand bags in the back.
And anything would be better than my sunfire i think... I mean it does alright getting out of snow and stuff but its bad on roads going around turns at any speeds. lol
with the right tires, no, that truck will not do better than your Sunfire in the snow. And that Mazda IS the same as a Ranger btw.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Lol yeah that is what im saying, i have a friend with a ranger with good tires and sand bags in the bed and it gets around better. i wasnt asking if it would, i was stating. I just want a damn cheap small truck thats a five speed, i would prefer a 4x4 just to be practical, but i just want one to fix up. My GFs brother scored big and got an 84 ranger with the 2.8 carburated, 4x4, 4 spd, and all it need was a small piece of medal welded on the floor board. He got it for 500 bucks. It didnt has an almost PERFECT body(yeah go figure that) with a razorback(i dont really like but i wouldnt complain), lund vizor, and a 3 inch lift. lol
With a set of really good snow tires the truck would do fine in the snow.... but the same can be said for the sunfire.
Theres no way Lowfires vett is gunna do worth a damn in the heavy snow and we all know it LOL
To be honest... since My beater is broken right now, if that was for sale around here I'de prob jump on it too.... and if a motorcycle can fit in the bed, I'de be set on it.
Lol i said that about lowfire to be a joke.

not to get off topic my uncle drives his C4 vette every where...and he has a cabin in the mts in summerset pa
Vette in the snow = fail regardless.. (although Im talking the type of snow we get up here)
There was a guy in town here that drove a beat to hell C4 Vette all year long, the thing was pile because of it, he had to put snow tires on the thing and he still got stuck all the damn time.
Very light RWD car, thats really low to the ground and has some serious power with wider tires = prob the worst car your can drive up here in the winter LOL.
But this is getting OT...... GTMATTERS, why cant you afford that truck? its cheap as hell.

I wasn't saying your buddy's truck didn't get around good. I got around fine in my 2wd S-10 with some weight in the back and decent tires. But I'm saying with equally good tires, you will not get around better in a RWD pickup than a FWD car. Sorry, it just doesn't work that way. If both had equal tires, it will not be BETTER than the SF. I have owned a J and a 2wd small truck, both driven year round, both always had all seasons. I will say when tires are equal, I will take the J in the winter. Just because your friends truck is PREPARED for winter and you car IS NOT is no credit to the truck.

Take the money you'd piss away on that junky truck and spend half that on good all season or winter tires for the sunfire and you'd run circles around any RWD 2WD truck. End of story.
