A new Stig is bred...

This season is going to be epic...

Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.

i wonder if its actually a different person or just the same guy again.. i thought they had a clause in the contract that stated if your identity was revealed, you were no longer allowed to be the stig.

They do, last I heard the last Stig was replaced, but the last person people would expect the new one to be is the same Stig

Why a white stig again? Can't say I like the @!#$ talking about ben collins. He made that show what it is. But hey if it means I get my favorite show on the air again I'm happy.

Also my guess is Damon Hill.

LOL Canada is never wrong...therefore is spelt "colour"

haha

On the up side....my white Simpson Bandit will still get me the "Holy @!#$...that guy has the same helmet as the Stig!" comments. Even tho the Stig has a Simpson Diamondback, unless you know the differences, you would never know they are different.

Hopefully the new season is good, Season 15 was no where near as good as Season 14....I think they got their budget cut or something.

I think bigfoot is blurry,
that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.
"Run! He's fuzzy!" "Get outta here!"

I don't think the stig is still Ben Collins... Ben and the BBC are not on good terms... lol

I can't say I blame Ben for wanting to reveal his identity and make money off it as he was payed very little for being a significant part of the show and I can't say I blame they BBC for being mad that he revealed his identity as it was part of his agreement that his identity was supposed to remain unknown.

Lol at Clarkson, "Some think they can write a book".

Being paid very little? You're kidding right?

He didn't tell anyone anything on purpose, he just released some income information to someone doing a documentary, they saw a SUBSTANTIAL pay increase from the BBC starting right when the new Stig started, and figured it out from there.

No, I am not kidding. Relatively speaking, he was paid very little. Jeremy, Richard and James get paid substantially more than the stig. He should have been getting more as he was a key aspect of the show and offered a valuable skill.

IIRC the Stig's earnings were something like a 10th of the other three. That's "very little" in my eyes.

-He wrote a book about being the stig.
-He went through legal battles with BBC to make his identity known.

They didn't know he was the Stig until he confirmed it. I know what you mean about the money being put into his accounts by the BBC starting when the new Stig started, but that isn't proof unless he confirms it. Perhaps, it could have been a coincidence, they've been known to happen.

Compared to the three faces of the show.... yeah sure, but he was still making major bank. Not to mention he was getting paid to drive a car around a track for a few hours once a week, and then ride around in the reasonably priced car. The other three spend much more time preparing and recording for the show than the Stig does.

The problem with the Stig is that he is replaceable. Since his identity is unknown they could swap him out and never tell anyone, no one would be the wiser. Thats why he doesn't get what the other 3 make, not to mention he plays a MUCH smaller role in the show, he probably only has to work a few hours a week, drive the car around the track and then take out the Stars, if he is even the person that actually teaches them how to drive the course (I doubt it). It would be to easy for the people to figure out who it is, and then leak it accidently. Or for people to just "spy" on the test course to figure it out.

That being said, try and find another Jeremy Clarkson...you can't. Thats why those guys get paid so much, they give a face to the show, and those faces are why people watch.

I watch Top Gear for the 3 guys to be honest, cause they are hilarious, then its the cars, then the stig.

I wouldn't be surprised it the majority of peoples list was in the same order as mine.

Whether or not you are replaceable, at the end of the day, governs most peoples salaries. The more experiance and knowledge you have, the harder it would be to find another person equal to you, the more money they pay you, the less likely you are to leave.....then end.

LOL

People's faces and ambience they bring is what gets them paid, not necessarily their talent. It's all about bringing in the viewers/money. This also happens with actors and athletes, regardless of talent.
