GT Bumper on a sedan

Hey,

I put one of the '00-'02 gt bumpers on my '00 4 dr. The only problem i have is that there is a little warp in the front. Can i just take a heat gun and try to mold it into shape? or do i have to bring it to a shop. It's not painted yet either

No, get the proper crush panel for it and it will all fit perfectly.

The crush panel is an integral piece to keeping the bumper in shape.

Get it off the same year car that the bumper came from. It is the black ribbed looking Sh*t under the bumper cover, mounted to the front impact bar.

Failure is not failure if you learn from it

But i thought the crush panel doesn't touch the bumper. Will i need the wheel well covers too?

No. You must have the crush panel (absorber) from the bumper you bought.

It not only shapes the bumper, but also provides the small ducts for the nostrals in the bumper to complete the look.

You don't need the wheel well covers, though if you get them they'll fit better. I didn't bother when I changed bumpers, but will probably pick up the proper ones sometime in the future so they attach properly. Right now they're just sort of tucked up in the bottom of the bumper underneath and I think one got broken.

You may also need to trim up the rad cover a bit. I'm just not using one anymore.

I paid around $100 CAD for the absorber when I bought it a couple years back.
