Hey everyone, I just wanted to get your opinions on these different type of scoops and what you think of them as fiberglass scoops. They can also be used as roof scoops, for those who like that look. Anyways here is a pic, and some links to other scoops.
Thanks!

why would you put a scoop on your roof? you should also put a bug deflector on your front bumper over your bra.
put on your flame suit.
I'm tellin' Uncle Ben!! You stole his RICE!!
"premiere cavalier" coming soon to a street near you!!
I think any scoop looks good as long as its molded in right and it looks like its part of the car.
^^^^^^
Same here, if you take the time and the money to get it done right, it will probably look pretty good, just pick one that isn't to big, or too odd looking.
I agree, im not a big fan of the roof scoop either. Some people like them. But yea they have to be molded corretly, and they look pretty good. These models can be Functional or Non-Functional....

someone may not have a/c?
happy happy joy joy
Yeah, on rally cars and stuff, the roof scoop provides ventilation to the cabin. I'd give mad props to anyone who put in a proper one but to this day, I have NEVER seen a proper roof scoop on a street car. I've seen more fake ricer roof scoops in car shows than I care to remember, but have yet to see a proper functional one.
As for the hood scoop... same deal. If it's not functional, forget about it. Hood scoops serve a purpose. If yours does not... then you're a stupid ricer.
I question whether it wouldn't cost more money to use one of those and mold it into a stock hood than it would to simply get a functional aftermarket hood.
hmm maybe the functional roof scoop with be the answer to me not getting enough airflow in the car...no a/c is really starting to suck, just curious...making any special deals for jbo members on these scoops?

Shouldn't be especially difficult. The hardest part will be creating a sealable opening and having it look clean from the inside.
I always thought it would be kinda cool to replace my sunroof glass with a functional roof scoop. Maybe some day it will happen. Until it does... there's the idea waiting for anyone to pick up and run with!
Yea i ment a functional hood scoop. As for roof scoops, maybe if u're AC isnt workin it might be nice...lol Otherwise they are a nice price for fiberglass scoops.

i was just wondering something. how come when ever i see a thread by you "caldo customs" it's always a sneaky way of getting people to your site to sell your products? j/w.

What you know about Street Racing anyways? Only what Fast & Furious taught us....
SO EVERYTHING!
Surprized no one mentioned this yet. But on cars with engines mounted in the back (ferrari and porsche come to mind) roof scoops could be used for Ram Air...
But it wouldn't work on our cars
a kid that lives next to me made a roof scoop that fuctions like a spoiler. It forces the car down and it actually works you can feel it pushing down on the car when going at high speeds

If it was blatent advertising, we'd just delete the thread. In cases like this though where he's pushing complete crap, I find it more useful to point out that it's crap so people who don't know any better may be forewarned and stay away from it.
i wouldnt put one on my car. but done well and it can look alright.
ive found that most bolt on scoops are too small. they end up looking like, well, a bolt on scoop. IMO if you could get a nice looking scoop that was the same size as the actual scoop it was supposed to look like, then yes it could look good. but like i said most hood scoops look disproportioned to the hood itself, esp on cav hoods.

I personally like hood scoops when theyre molded in properly and functional
as for the roof scoops, some people call them rice or whatever, but the way I see it, if u like how it looks on your car, then it's perfect. the whole point of modifying is exactly that, "modding your car the way you want to, not the way other people want you to mod ur car.
These hood scoops are usually ordered as functional styles, and end up looking quite nice after molding. As for the quality issue, we have only received positive feedbacks from customers of our scoops. We are a small company selling manufacturer direct to ensure the lowest prices possible, and would never allow less than expected products leave our shop.
Thanks!

ya know.. the only products ive seen you advertise are fake hood scoops and bolt on tin eyelids... kinda makes your company look like a rice dealer. if you carry more useful products maybe you should show off that stuff instead.
And
that would be blatant advertizing.
