Hey there, i am wondering what cavy tails are the bigger ones, and what year cavys they were on.....
I am getting a cf bezel for my sunfire sedan, and i may go with oem cavy tail lights; i want the biggest ones possibale so that i might not have to use the little filler pieces that come with the bezel.
I heard someone mention before that there are smaller cavy tails on certain year cavys; just hopeing someone can tell me what year cavys had what tails, and maby some pics as well.

cavy tails are the same 95-02 and then the "bar" style lights are from 03-06

the 95-99, and the 03-05 cavalier tails are the same size (as far as know), and are bigger than the 00-02 tails.

ha beat you josh and no they are all the same size except the "bar" from 03-06

the 03-05s stuck out more due to the bar, but thats it. they are all the same size and interchangeable from 95-05
if you dont want to use your trunk filler piece, get a cavy trunk.

I have a 98 sunfire sedan, i am getting the cavy cf bezel and buying cavy tails; i just thought i heard there were smaller tails on certain year cavys; i may try and find some used cavy tails and spray them black with the night shades, or get the black ones off e-bay. not sure what to do because me with a sunfire sedan i have the reverse lights in my bumper; therfore i do not need to use the cavy inners at all, so i could make the cavy inners black as i wantted, would that look good or would they be too black; anyone ever do this?

i would pick up a cav bumper and shave it. that way you dont have to worry about the cav tails matching the bezel or anything. but if you went the nightshade route that would probably work too.

I thought the outters were a little bit larger on the 03-05 cavaliers? That's why the c/f filler came with those outter c/f pieces to fill the gap. I have both sets and i'm going to my parents today. I'll compare them and post back this afternoon.

I think i would want either 95-99, or 00-02 tails .
anyone have a full set of cavy tails that are sprayed with the nightshades, just wantted to see how it looks?

I just checked the outter lamps. I know mounting is the same 95-05 on the outters. 03-05 the outter lamps have a lip that makes the surface area bigger. They would fit fine on your 4 door Sunfire and you wouldn't need the c/f trim ring around the lamp. Hope this helps.

03-05 are bigger because of a lip around the outer tails, cool; great to know; thanks very much wicked 1.
