I use the LED bulbs that you can buy at pepboys etc...

They are slim then at the top they are circleular with about 10 leds in them.

tho they make the flasher blink faster I dont mind it. Love em to be honest with you.

these are the exact LEDs i used and are WAAAAY brighter than the ones that they have at the local parts stores! they are just a little bigger thant he stock size but give off great light and fill the whole lens instead of just having the focused LEDs spot on the tail light
NICE LEDs

There ARE other bulbs that plug into our harness, but they are all relatively the same diameter bulb.

If you want to go thinner, you have to find the (most likely dual filament) bulb you want to use, and get a pigtail for that bulb...then just splice them in.

ya I found a spare led bulb and it has 12 L.E.D.s in it. but it focuses the beam so when it lights up on the tail light its a perfect circle the 9 L.E.D.s around th outside are lit when the lights are on and the 3 inner ones looks like a triangle are for the turning hazard.. but when breaking all light it. Thats why i wanted to find clear 03+ fire lenses to make the rear of the car more appealing....

Maybe you should be. There are tons of different designs, and some could be thinner.
