i cant ever find any on ebay. every time i look.
You can go to gmpartsdirect.com.
Also, do a search and there is another site that sells them. Also check the classifieds. Peeps are always selling them there. Good luck.

Ya, you can go to a GM dealer, there like 400 per light there....in Canada anyway lol

If you can't find them online, go to your nearest GM dealer...I work for a Pontiac Dealership and bought mine through the service department...I think they were $100 a piece

When you search just type "toyota cavalier" in the search bar. I see them pop up all the time so if you don't see them wait a few days then try again.

^^^yes you can do it that way, not as nice of an install.
It will come out just as clean as long as you take the little extra time to keep it clean and not just hack away

it can look as clean yes, but you cant beat plug and play.
Thats the advantage of getting them from japan. thats about the only advantage though.
They still aren't really plug and play that way either tho.

you got me there....there is still some modification needed.
i think either way is a suitable way to install them. I guess it comes down to where you can get them cheaper.
oh, and i could not find a pigtail to properly fit at the parts store, so as you suggested, get it at a bone yard.
I think alias has a set that he was trying to get rid of for one of his friends. I got a set from him off of ebay so I am not sure if he has the other set anymore.
try Streetline (www.street-line.net) we have a few in stock and yes we know the site say out of stock just call dont be shy
SHOCKWAVE IS BACK
Do the stock sockets fit into Toyo tails? If so, can you purchase a couple spare sockets from the scrapyard or parts dept for the turn signals, as well? I read through a wiring "How to" on here, but didn't see the specifics behind the socket situation. I would apologize if I missed a post on that, but I've already seen that apologies grant you no mercy around here anyway..

Future reference, for people who don't get the harness with their tails - stock sockets from the '97 Cavalier
will fit in the brake light on the early model Toyo tails. As far as a socket for the turn signal, Twist-Lock 1-1/4" Focal Length Socket (#85822) works great for the turn signal.
RÜD 04398
Dorman Products, Conduct-Tite line, part number 85822. We bought ours at Advanced Auto Parts. Around $10.00 for the pair. Work great for the Turn signal side of the Toyota Cavalier tail lights. There are three wires in each socket , yellow, brown and black. The black one goes to ground on one of the tail light mount studs, the brown one is unused and the yellow gets used for the turnsignal. Attach the yelow wire to the yellow car harness wire on the left side and to the green car harness wire on the right side. The sockets use 1157 bulbs. We haven't spliced into the third brake light wire to connect the brake lights in the new tail lights yet but the amber turn signal and emergency lights work great. As previously stated the stock tail light sockets will plug right in to the tail light section (red)of the Toyota lights.

i know this is mostly about the sockets for toyo tails, but i have a question. and this is the closest topic to the question i could find. umm, does any one with a Sandrift Metallic cavy thats like 2000+ have the toyo tails in there car? also if i may ask in here. for the same car. does any one have the amber corner lenses? ...i have never seen any of those two on the color car i have. and if u do, can u send pics?
you could just save the money and be different by keeping stock tails.
well i think the toyos would look good on a Sandrift color car. i just wanted to know if someone had em on same color and could give me a pic. just to see if my thought of them lookin good, really do or not.
