whats up with the regional reps in the regional forums? who will they be and what are they for?
Yeah thats been there for as far as i can remember.....so why was that idea shot down?
The idea of regional reps was to have someone, or perhaps multiple people, that could watch over that region. That includes moderating the forum to some extent, keeping track of regional events, keeping track of clubs within that region, and being a point of contact for people new to the site/region.
When I built the regional pages I started building all that stuff into it. Unfortunately I never had the time to set up a process for people to become regional reps. The idea was to set up some kind of nomination and voting system, as well as some way to keep track of problems that people might have with the reps, so if it ever became a problem, they could be replaced with other people.
The idea is not completly off the table. I still want to go ahead with it, I just don't have a lot of time to organize it.

My region even has Chapters.
Dave,
When you do have time o please o please make me the Northeast regional rep...I would so clean that forum up, that place is a joke. Too many want/for sale ads and DRAMA!
Seriously tho, thanks for my account back
I'll volunteer for the NW forum whenever this gets rolling again... that one's not a hard forum to keep track of
The regions need to be made smaller. For example the U.P. of Michigan, and the state or Virginia are the same region.

Most of the problems in the NE are caused by the ppl that would likely want and or be selected as regional reps
