ClubCav has always been like the white trash cousin, of the JBO that you're embarrased to know IMHO.
Admitting you go there or upset it's gone is like instantly outting yourself as a retard.
after the last time it crashed all the main people decided to start their own site where they had control of the backend of the site.
clubcav.com (and now gmscf.com) is a nice get away from here. IMO, the only thing this place has is sheer size.

Ha, its's still down. If anything, somebody is paying a provider to host an Iranian hacker whenever somebody googles 'Cavalier'. Very tricky those Iranians KNOWing that clubcav would sit on their thumbs and let them get their views out!
Aftter over a year on saabcentral I didn't realized how spoiled I was until I went to clubcav. Very very disapointing.
Not everyplace can be a JBO.
So I started the GMSCF.com so that the posters of the ClubCav could have a place to post and keep up with each others project cars etc.
It's a place to post, hang out, and unlike the JBO, isn't all about hardcore gearheads wanting to know the infinite wisdom of all things that are cars.
I'm quite happy with the user base we have there and it's only going to get bigger as time goes on.
So really we all have our preferences in where we go to post when we want.
JBO has been my home since 1999 and is where I grew up. But JBO has always been a place of being hardcore which has driven people away because the simple answers can only be replied with 'do a search'.
I had this issue years ago but unlike those that would walk away from a great resource as the JBO, I studied the stickies, the links, and the posts that make the JBO a great place and tool to learn about cars.
So now I'm contributing back to those that are wanting to know and ask those questions that we've all heard many times before.
Welcome to the GMSCF.com.
CC may be dead but we're not.
We're not out to compete with the powerhouse JBO, just to be a place that can help in ways the JBO can't.
And besides all this, many posts do refer the JBO as a source of information to our members so really, we're in this all together as a group of people that love cars.

I lost all Admin powers there after the crash and really never went back.

Never even checked out GMSC or clubcav... I would be nice to be on a real gear head site though.... this site still has those people... but It seems like I come here more for amusement more than anything now a days..
I've never really been J-body loyal when it comes to modding cars (well I am more so than a lot of people)...I just like the screw with things to make them go faster.
And if they hacked that site.... either there are other sites that got hacked or it was a pissed off member of said site IMO
