Ok, here's the problem. I took my koni's to have them installed and the mechanic said he tried to bore out the rear strut mounts so the koni's could fit. But when he went to drill it out, it just kept spinning inside the rubber housing. the drill bit wouldn't catch. Is there a way around this, other than buying a new rear mount?
if teh center was free and spinning then your gonna wanta new mount, hte way to drill it ot is a better bit and cutting oil sprayed on it, making sure the metal doesn't heat up to much. I used a cobalt bit from Sears. also your life is allot easier if you drill it in a press. worse comes to worse take it it a place that works with metal and ask them to drill it. they will have the right tools for the job.
and now with spellchecker...lol

whats the drill bit size for koni rears
i have the bit if you need it i payed 30 bucks for id because i didnt want a cheap bit so let me know if you need it ryan
Yeah the piece in the middle is free spinning. I'm not sure another drill bit would work but i could be wrong. I guess i will have to cough up some more dough and purchase new mounts. Anybody know a place to get them A.S.A.P. and for a good (cheap) price? I hate driving with koni's in front and stock on rear, my car has more bounce than wal-mart has stores.
If it's free spinning then the mount is already wrecked. You need a new one.
All right, im gonna stop by pep boys or autozone to see if they carry them, thanks.
