does any one have a prefered brand of strut bar? If so where did you get it and did you install it yourself? I just got 18's and i want to get a strut bar on my 97 cavi Z24

i have freedom design i got from a GP here on the Org.
but some go to a junkyard and pull the GM strut tower bar off of a 3rd gen z24 convertible.

I got a RACTIVE polished one for like $40 from Spider Automotive. Seems really nice and stiff, looks good, have had it for years.

its all the same. install it yourself. if you can put wheels on, you can put a strut bar on. all you do is take the 3 bolts out the strut down, put the ends of the bar over the holes and bolt it back down. takes 2 mins tops
Just be sure to use a torque wrench and check the torque specs in your Haynes manual.
