Mileage on new cluster!!

hey guys i just installed a new (used) cluster into my 99 4dr cavalier and its workin fine but its not showing the amount of kms that the old one had. Is there a way to fix this since it is electronic right?

Stock= around 181 000

new= around 72 000

all you have to do is take the cluster out. take the back panel off of it. and the back panel off your old one. and you can switch the ODOMETER out. its easy. its only a few T25 Torx screws. very easy. i had to do it to mine also.

On pre-2000 cars, the mileage is stored in the actual odometers (even the digital ones), as opposed to in the car's memory. As such, you must physically swap the odometer over from the old cluster to the new one to register the correct mileage.

now, i have a question. can you swap from a 96 mechanical? to a 98 or so with digital? i've wanted to try it, but cant find a cluster.
