I've been looking for a place to buy a heat exchanger for a week or so and so far I can't. I'm not entirely sure what to look for. If somebody could post a link to where they bought theirs that would be great. Thanks.
I'm in the exact same position you are in, and most of the people I ask say eBay. But I know zzperformance.com has some for the Grand Prix's and was thinking that I might be able to use one of those but am still kinda unsure. I'm mainly trying to find the P/N for the Cobalt SS/SC reservoir.

never heard a bad thing about zzp products. also the customer service is second to none.
Something to keep in mind too guys is that Im running the ebay one and at 14.9psi I get temps as high as 165 on a 70ish degree day, so if you plan on going much past the stock pulley a bigger heat exchanger is probablt needed.

The one thing I cannot find in any of the Ebay posts, or ZZ perfromance for that matter is fins per inch. As o4Blackfore has made not he is having issues, part of that is going to be the efficiency of the cooler, and part of that is the amount of air flowing through the cooler.
Everyone is adding additional thickness to the cooling system on the car, but is not taking into consideration that they are using the same stock fan to pull air through. You have to get to about 60-70 MPH before you get true ram air cooling on a car that is efficient to dissipate the heat. This fan was correct for a stock eco making 140 HP, with the running of the AC occassionally. Now we are adding a thick hot intercooler in front of it, blocking the section where a large portion of the air comes thorugh, and not increasing the pulling effort of the fan with a larger or more efficient fan. You are also adding a big hot piece to the front of the engine bay (SC unit itself) as well making everything warmer as well.
One of the things to consider prior to bumping up to a bigger intercooler is making the system "right" again. I am still looking into using the Malibu dual fan system on my car prior to intercooling the car so that way I have better cooling for the entire system prior to loading more on. You need to look at making evertyhing work well together prior to making it better, it sounds like the first problem is becoming paramount, and in order to make it better you think bgger will fix it.
I don't know what size heat exchanger Airtonics is using, haven't crawled under the car to look, but I am pretty sure it is the 27X7 which means if his works (and we all know it does) then why isn't yours working as well?

its 22x9 and is about a 3" thick core.
With the hoses listed from GM, are any other hoses needed? I thought you had to do atleast some custom plumbing, and not sure where the hoses mentioned go.

How do you know airtonics's cooling setup worked well ? Has he posted numbers ?

Also i dont have ac so no ac condenser in front of the radiator should allow more air to get to the oem radiator.
Ive yet to see anyone else post up IATs proving that their system is running "great." Also, my OEM cooling system has yet to get over 183 with me beating on it and high 14 psi in 80+ days. The highest Ive seen it was 191 in the city, stop and go for 20 mins straight with the A/C on, it was 84 that day. I dont think adding a fan would hurt but its not the solution to the high IATs Im getting. Oh yeah and fins per inch on my eBay heat exchanger are 15 or 16, I think it was Fluidyne that advertises 16 per inch.

Wait, call me a noob, but is a heat exchanger the same as a radiator? I was under the impression they were different things.
basicly they are exactly the same
They are just cooling down two different things, one is for the engine, the other is for the supercharger per-say.
