If I use 1/4" plate spacers. will I need new hubcentric rings, or would the wheels now be lugcentric, and if so, how bad of an idea is it to do this. I'm trying to push the wheels out a little bit to narrow the gap, but don't want to be unsafe. any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can use spacers but get longer studs so they wont break, also i believe you'll still need hub rings.

Hubcentric rings will be useless with the spacers. With the spacer in place, the hubcentric ring would not even touch the hub, so they would not be functioning correctly. If the hubcentric ring somehow fit between the spacer and hub surface, it still would not be in the wheel's hubcentric ring area, so it would not be functioning correctly.

Hubcentric spacers would be ideal, if they are available.

Can you get a spacer with a sort of built in hub lip machined in the middle?

H&R makes some, but I am not sure of applications.

^^ Eibach also makes something simular.. but I can't remember if it also has the "hub" type of thing in it though?
