Well i know very little about cavy interiors to tell you how to remove it.

BUT -

I do know that if you want sunfire door panals, your gonna have to replace your dash with one from a sunfire, as well as all the other trim pieces.

If you dont, nothing will fit correctly.

I'd like to know how to do this too. I'm starting to paint my interior and I have no clue how to get those big panels out of the car. I've searched, but I'm not sure exactly what they are called. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

are you talking the panels around the rear side windows, or are you talking about the rear deck cover?

Both actually, but I assume that once I actually take a look at the rear deck it shouldn't be too hard. I'm just lost with the plastic part around the back window.
Thanks again.

once you take off the seat belt bolts the panel basically pops off. youlle need to take the rear seat out first wich im assuming u know how. then unscrew the seatbelt bolts i believe its a torx 45 or 50. then just work around the edges and pull. once those are out you can basically just slip the rear deck cover out.

Keep in mind that while you may be able to attach a Sunfire panel there, it will not line up properly with the window and will probably look really out of place. If you also replace the rear side windows and sail panels with the Sunfire ones, you'll be all set.

Thanks for the help. I'm going to try the passenger side when I get home from work.

By the way, how much of the interior can you take out and still be able to drive around. How legal is it?

as long as all the saftey devices are there and everything is working properly nothings really illegal.

you also have to remove the hanger at the top of the plastic panel b4 you start to pull it out.

I have all the panels out of my car, been like that for a month, rear deck, door panels, rear seat, dash pad, the plastic around the rear windows, etc, etc......No problems here, just annoying after a while. Hopefully I will get it all finished and back together soon. To many things going on and not finishing one thing before I start another.....But needless to say, if you can't figure out how a panel comes out, just pull, that's what I did and nothing got broke.....Oh, and if you plan on sanding any panels good luck, that part sucks.......Jay
