I've been reading these forums lately and the slowness that my windows roll up at is starting to worry me they go down faster than they go up, but they've never stopped on me(i use them sparingly) is this a sign that my motors are going to need replacing? or are cavalier power windows just normally slow like that ? if it is the motor what is my best option to get a replacement motor here in canada alot of online companies do not ship here (gmpartsdirect) does anyone know the exact part number and how much a dealer would charge me to buy the motors ?
I believe you can upgrade the wiring to the motors, and that will help with your problem. Anyone who's done this can feel free to post and let us know.

Anyone know about this upgrading the wires?
If they're not stopping, then I'd do some preventative maintenance before you kill them. It's likely that there's some resistance in the tracks that's hampering the movement.
Take off the door panel and ensure all the tracks are clean and lubed. Use a bit of white grease on the sliders in the regulator and spray down the window tracks with some silicone lube.
hey man i just had to replace my motors in both my doors the mototrs are only like 42 dollors and the chevy deller here told me 900 dollors to mfix it so i bought the part and put it in my self not that bad.
My windows motors are constintly dying on me. Anyone have any knowledge of Pontiac vibe window motors?
I figure they are the same style, and they more right quickly.
