BIG front mount intercooler.. no cutting bumper

well i know lots of people wanted pictures of the progress so here it is... just have to finish moching up the charge pipes and put the new oil pan and exhaust on and i can start it up...

Also the way i mounted it i did not cut any thing away (well a tiny bit of crush guard but very little) just enough to get a bolt in...
intercooler is 27"x10"x3" and yes it sticks out of the bumper i have now but the new one should work fine

And please dont turn this thread into the bitch fest like the last one... if you have a problem with this set up pm me but dont get this one deleted like last time

Anyone notice that its sitting even lower than his already scraped up air deflector for the radiator???

Do yourself a favor and cut into the bumper and move that thing up at least a couple inches. My intercooler is also 10" tall and i would not dare risk a $500 part just because i didn't want to cut the bumper.

I don't see how you could do something like that again. If this is any clue on how the car is going to got together I would say walk away. If something messes up the first time, you fix the problem by moving the intercooler not by putting another in it's place.

actually no its not scratch from the road that isnt even close... we put the bumper back on and i still am up 1" from the lowest points on my front end... and with the new front end i will be up like 2" from it

i would NEVER!!!!! cut the bumper away... you have to be either a fool or an idiot to do that im sorry, track car only i can see.. but what the hell do you think is going to stop you when you get hit in the front? its there for a reason , the amount you have left you might as well just pull it right off.... Yes in front end crash it bends in but it takes some of the force away and was made to do somthing not be cut out.

I will stick with my way and risk a $300 or so intercooler over my life thanks...
