Do yourself a favor and cut into the bumper and move that thing up at least a couple inches. My intercooler is also 10" tall and i would not dare risk a $500 part just because i didn't want to cut the bumper.

actually no its not scratch from the road that isnt even close... we put the bumper back on and i still am up 1" from the lowest points on my front end... and with the new front end i will be up like 2" from it
i would NEVER!!!!! cut the bumper away... you have to be either a fool or an idiot to do that im sorry, track car only i can see.. but what the hell do you think is going to stop you when you get hit in the front? its there for a reason , the amount you have left you might as well just pull it right off.... Yes in front end crash it bends in but it takes some of the force away and was made to do somthing not be cut out.
I will stick with my way and risk a $300 or so intercooler over my life thanks...
