Yes, Im still building the 3800 Turbo:)

I cant remember the last time I posted pics of this project. I took the summer off from working on it, I just didnt bother with it. I finally started working on it last week. Here are some pics from the last little while...
I finished up my charge pipes, this is the cold side with an LS1 MAF installed.

Location on BOV

Hot side, notice the stock washer bottle is installed

Placement of coils, also, Im using a Camaro alternator since the FWD one did not work with the Camaro Intake manifold.

Cooling system:
95 Saturn SL1 coolant bottle.

Coolant transfer pipe for upper hose since the Camaro manifold relocated the upper outlet to the pass side.

Possible belt routing, Im going to try running it without a ac compressor or delete pulley, like this. I think Im going to pick up a ribbed pulley for the tensioner.

Couple toys:
B&M shifter.

Wilwood front brakes from Darkstars.

More pics as work continues.

It's about f*cking time. (like I'm one to talk)

Looking good. One thought on the accessory belt set up: it doesn't look like there is enough tension on that belt, almost like the pulley is at the end of it's spring. You might want to try to replace it with one that springs in the opposite direction, and route the belt around it the other way. Since I don't have it in front of me to f*ck with, I'm just going by the two pics you posted. I'm just thinking that the setup you have now, even with a ribbed pulley, will not stand up to quick revving.

Crazy!!!!!!!
Seeing this encourages me to buy an older 3rd gen like 96 and just putting a v6 in it. It would be such a sleeper!!!
Great work keep everyone posted

On Sunday I wasnt planning on working on my car, but I got couple hours of work in while helping my dad build his porch.
I didnt have my camera with me though.
I finished off the cooling system, I tried using an ecotec radiator, but it didnt really help.
I swapped back in the 2.4 rad and made the lower rad hose. I am going to be using an eco coolant transfer pipe for the hose from the coolant bottle to the lower rad hose though.
I then changed my fenders for the 95-99 ones I got and installed the import fighter front. I started trimming it, although more trimming will be required. I also had to take an inch off my hot side charge pipe.
Well Micah and Brad came by tonight and we got some work done.
Here are the pics.
Never thought I would do this, taking a knife to my Import Fighter front bumper

Our light bitch, Micah.

The knife claimed a victim.

I even bled on my bumper.

Screw the knife, get the grinder

The SWEET payoff.... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!

My lower rad hose that I made, the open hose will run behind the engine to the coolant bottle.

Here you can see the 2000+ washer bottle allowed me to trim and inch and a half off the charge pipe going into the intercooler.

More pics later this week
