I recently got a gauge pod, and need a opinion on how i should go about wiring it up.
I was wondering at night does the gauges overly anoy you when your driving do you recommend wiring them to a toggle swtich?
Im using a three pod tower all three gauges are electrical/digital
What wire(+) do you belive is the safest bet for me to wire them upto and hopefully only have the gauges on while the cars running
your looking for a switched 12v wire. your wipers are switched 12v as well as your ignition wire.
thaaks for the reply ill find the wipers or ignition to use
The 12v acc wire that goes to the radio is one...
indeed i decied to lay off until i got all three gauges in my hands..no point of taking off the gauge pod three times when i can get it all in one shot.
I think I took both the switched power and the dimmer circuit wires from the harness that plugs into the back of the gauge cluster. Very easy to find and easy to work with.
Heh I took the easy way out and went straight to the fuse box with a source that was on with the accessories. So now whenever I turn the car on they light up no matter what.
